Mrs. JAMES C. GREEN
WALLOMSAC, N.Y. - Mrs. Catherine (Riley) Green, 82, of Wallomsac, died Wednesday at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington after a long illness. She was the widow of James C. Green.
Born in Cambridge July 11, 1887, she was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Riley. She had attended schools in Cambridge, Bennington and also St. Mary's Academy in Hoosick Falls.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Valentine of Hoosick Falls, Miss Irene Green and Mrs. Josephine King, both of North Hoosick and Miss Catherine D. Green of Wallomsac; four sons, Joseph F. Green Sr. of North Hoosick, Theodore E. Green Sr. of Bennington, Charles H. Green of Wallomsac and Hiram B. Green of North Bennington; one brother, Theodore Riley of Cambridge; two half-brothers, Harold Powers of Bennington and John Powers of Long Island. Thirty-four grandchildren an 30 great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 am at Mahar Funeral Home, Hoosick Falls, and at 9:30 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Cambridge.
Calling hours at the funeral home are tonight and Friday afternoon and evening.
