Last rites for Charles Aldron Bigham were conducted from the First Methodist Church on May 5 with Rev. Robert Majors, pastor, officiating.
Mr. Bigham died on May 2 in Little Rock, Ark., following an illness of three years.
He was born on June 23, 1897 near Eastman and had lived his entire life in Love County. He was married to the former Miss Myrtle Johnson and they were the parents of three children. A son, Wendel Bigham, preceded his father in death in 1942.
Mr. Bigham had been a member of the Methodist Church for 22 years. He was a good man and had many friends who are saddened by his death.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Bigham of Marietta; two daughters, Mrs. Oscar L. Alagood of Little Rock and Mrs. J. R. Willis of Tulsa; his mother, Mrs. B. C. Bigham of Marietta; a sister, Mrs. Viola Stevens of Marietta and four grandchildren.
Burial was in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of the Goodrich Funeral Home. Those assisting as casket bearers were: H. W. Giese, Ozel Cox, John McAnally, J. W. Dixon, Oscar Alagood and Horace Glenn.
