Martin Aimone passed away in his home on December 16, 2014. Martin was born to Joseph and Francis (Cerva) Aimone on November 11, 1926 at their ranch house outside of Ft. Bridger. He was the seventh of thirteen children. His siblings were Ben, Anselmo, Fred, Marion, Chilest, Felix, Tildi, Leona, Leslie, Olympia, Edith, and Isabel.

Martin's lifelong passion was for his ranch. In his younger days he was an avid saddlebronc rider and team roper. He was a true cowboy at heart and proud of it. He met the love of his life, Gay Sargent, at the hospital in Coalville, Utah where she was a nurse and they were married on Nov. 2, 1950 at Ogden Utah. Martin and Gay had four children Joe, Frances Colleen, Bruce, and Chris.

Martin was civic minded and sat for long terms on several boards in the community. He served on the Predatory Board for 35 years, the Weed and Pest Board for 30 years, and he also served on the Colorado River Water Users Board, the Water Conservancy District, and the Bridger Valley Electric Board. Martin was a lifelong member of the Lions Club.

Martin is survived by his sister Isabel Aimone Hoffman (Vic), and daughters Colleen and Chris, as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gay and sons Joe and Bruce as well as all of his siblings.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the doctors and staff of Ogden Regional hospital and the nurses of Best Home Health for their care for Martin.
