Died: Friday, December 12, 2014
Mr. Houston V. Keith age 86 of Smithville passed away Friday night at NHC Health Care Center. He was the son of the late Ray and Eva Waldon Keith. He was a retired mechanic and member of Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Keith was also preceded in death by daughter Sherry Gail Keith; Grandson: Jeremy Freeman; 2 Brothers: Donald Keith and T.D. Keith; Sister: Ophie Hayes. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 14, 2014 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bernard Houk officiating and burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday and Monday until the time of the service at. Survivors include his wife of 62 years
Helen Keith of Smithville; Daughters: JoAnn (Larry) Hale of Dowelltown, Sandra Kay (Ricky) Freeman of Smithville; Grandchildren: Jared Hale, Derrick (Kristan) Hale both of Dowelltown, Leann Freeman & Fiance Ron Lamb of McMinnville, Joshua and Jacob Freeman both of Smithville; Great Grandchildren: Bonnie Hale, Jeremy Lamb and Bo Hale. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Houston's parents, S. Ray Keith and Eva T. Waldon, were married on July 10, 1921 in DeKalb County, Tennessee.
