Rosemary McKellar, 86, of Freeland, passed away Wednesday morning, May 12, 2010, at the Horizon's Senior Living Center in Clare, after a lengthy illness. Rosemary was born a member of St. Anges Catholic Church in Freeland. She was avid card player. She was active in the St. Anges Ladies Altar Society and she also enjoyed spending time with her family. On Feb. 15, 1941, Rosemary married Earl D. McKellar, he predeceased her on April 11, 1998. Rosemary is survived by three sons, Mac (Darlene) McKellar of Hope, Mark (Judy) McKellar of Freeland, and Brian (Tracey) McKellar of Fairborn, Ohio; nien grandchildren Debra, Tracy, Pat, Lynn, Tine, Balerie, Teresa, Nicole, and Christian; 12 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Cory, Mitchell, Sean, Maddison, Makala, Ashleighton, Lauryn, Lilyan, Ayden, Mackenzie, and Chloe; a sister, Jean Peterson of Miland, two sister-in-law, Naomi Thurlow of Saginaw, and Joan McKellar of Midland, and two brother-in-law, Philip Shaver of Freeland, and John McKellar of Midland, Five sisters, Pauline DuFort, Helen Merrill, Marion Shaver, Bernadine Reiss, and Marjorie McKellar, and three brothers, Bernard Thurlow, William Thurlow, and Leo Thurlow have predeceased Rosemary. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, may 15, 2010, at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home in Freeland. Sister Ann Lahaie RSM will officiate, with burial in New Calvary Cemetery in Midland. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington, Freeland on Friday from 2 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Midland County of the donor's favorite charity.
