Early Life: Ruth was born in Logan, Utah, on May 10, 1927, to Carlyle Smith and Clara Ellen Holman Dawson.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On May 15, 1946, Ruth married Jay Ivan Hatch in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death over 25 years ago. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in all of her many callings. She volunteered at the Provo Utah LDS Temple and the Utah State Hospital. She served a service mission in Salt Lake City. She loved to do family history and travel. She retired as an engineer from Mountain Bell Telephone Company. Ruth Dawson Hatch passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 11, 2014, at home after a short illness. She was 87.
