Huffaker, Joanne Jenkins Riley - age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Tennova Residential Hospice. She was a member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church, and retired from TVA after 21 years of service. She loved playing the piano and reading.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Ralph Akard Riley, and Harold Huffaker; son, Ray Alan Riley. Survivors: son, Rex Akard Riley (Donna); grandsons, Andy and Chad Riley; daughter-in-law, Kathy Riley (Ray); granddaughters, Kim Busler (Barry), and Jennifer DePew (Lance); two great-grandchildren, Kathryn Busler, and Riley DePew; brother, Jake Jenkins (Linda); special nephew Bryan Riley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society , 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway. The family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Bob Bean officiating.
