"Ethel JENKINS DENSON NIX, 80, of Columbus, died Saturday, Octboer 18, 1997 at St. Francis Hospital. // Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rick PATCHIN officiating, followed by interment in Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. // Mrs. NIX was born December 3, 1916 in St. George, GA, the daughter of Rosa CRAIG JOHNS and Riley JOHNS. She had lived inColumbus most of her life and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church for over 50 years, and was a member of the Ester Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie NIX. // Survivors include a daughter, Ann CARVER of Columbus; three sons, Horace JENKINS and daughter-in-law, Shirley, Wayne JENKINS and daughter-in-law Sandra, Joe DENSON and daughter-in-law, Suzan, all of Columbus; three sisters, Edna HODGES of Jacksonville, FL, Ruth THOMAS of Columbus and Dorothy BENTON of Jacksonville; two brothers, Joe JOHNS of Jacksonville and Fred JOHNS of Dover, FL; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews."
