Joseph Takach Jan. 30, 1925 - Dec. 9, 2014 ST. JOSEPH - Joseph Takach, 89, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 9, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph, MI. Cremation has taken place and services will be private. Joseph was born on January 30, 1925 in South Bend to Joseph and Pearl Takach. He lived his entire life in the Michiana area. He married Patricia Kujawski on Sept. 18, 1948 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2005. Joseph had various jobs which included working at Studebaker, Curtis Wright, Bendix, and National Standard. He was a member of several organizations which included the Elks in Mishawaka, the Eagles in South Bend and the South Bend Moose. The family would like to thank all those at Royalton Manor who gave such loving care to Joe. Joseph is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Rick) Schmidt of St. Joseph, MI, and Jackie (Phil) Haslett of Granger, Ind.; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 niece and 2 nephews. Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Horvath. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII
