Jodie Evelyn Standifer passed away March 26, 2006 at Texoma Specialty Care, Denison, Texas. She was 93 years old. She was born October 10, 1912 to John Austin and Amy Duff Barber in the Sandy Community.
Funeral services will be held at Wise Funeral Chapel on March 29, 2006 at 3:30 PM. Rev. Dan Gurley will officiate. Interment will follow in at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas.
Jodie was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church, Bonham, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Dottie McClure, Denison, Texas; son, Jack Standifer, Roxboro, North Carolina; sister, Elsie Minnick, Bonham, Texas; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Two daughters, Eloise and Billie; three brothers and one sister preceded in death.
Pallbearers will be Brian Boyd, Josh Boyd, John Loke, Mike McClure, Robin Thomas and Randy Standifer. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dr. Dana Sisk, Bob Nunnelee, Judy Underwood, Jody McMillan and Joan Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 101 East Hwy. 69, Denison, Texas 75020.
