Elmer C. Kistler, 76, of 1731 Grant St., Slatedale, died Wednesday in Allentown Hospital. He was the husband of Mary R. (Weaver) Kistler. They observed their 55th wedding anniversary last June.
He owned Kistler's Garage, Slatedale, for 21 years before retiring in 1976.
Born in Washington Township, he was a son of the late William W. and Lydia E. (Rehrig) Kistler.
He was a member and former deacon and elder of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale. He was also a trustee of Lehigh Furnace Sunday school since 1954.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, William C. of Slatington R.2 and Ronald E. of Slatington R.3; a sister, Mrs. Helen Rex of Allentown; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Robert K. Hahn Funeral Home, 1778 Main St., Slatedale. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday.
