Velma May Kneer Larson, 104, of Weslaco, Texas, formerly of Monica, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, in Weslaco, Texas.
She was born April 4, 1910, in Monica, Ill. She graduated from Princeville High School and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Peoria, Ill.
Mrs. Larson was a Girl Scout leader. She made a medical missionary trip to Haiti and was a hospice volunteer.
Mrs. Larson was predeceased by her husband, Robert Larson; son, John Larson; brothers, Raymond, Paul and Leo; sister, Leora; and nephew, Jerald Kneer.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha (Paul) Rogers, Valerie Larson and Roberta Larson.
Burial will be in the spring at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Peoria, Ill.
