Mrs. Nina Bill (Russell Hammack) Evans, age 75, of McKinney, Texas passed away on April 4, 2005 in McKinney. She was born on May 15, 1929 in Pine Valley, Oklahoma to James Emmitt and Blanche (Brown) Russell. She married James O. Evans on April 9, 1976 in Van Alstyne, Texas.

Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and was a member of the Panola Baptist Church in Wilburton, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, James O. Evans of Oklahoma; children, Judy Pope and husband, Johnny of McKinney, Texas, Jim Hammack and wife, Debbie of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Jeanette Kidd and husband, Gene of McKinney, Texas; step children, Donna Jones of Thackerville, Oklahoma, Tina Lawson of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Jane Elam of Texas, James Evans of Corpus Christi, Texas, Hershell Evans of Fairfield, Texas and Larry Evans of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brothers, Jack Russell of California and Sterling Russell of Heath, Texas; and sisters, Madeline Moore of Dallas, Texas, Emily Harrison of Tyler, Texas, Gaynell Cooper of Dewey, Oklahoma and Claudette Isbell of Plano, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Leslie Hammack; brothers, Larry, Micky and Philip Russell; stepson, Carl Evans and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 7, 2005 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating.

Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
