John William [Johnie] Musgrove, age 75 of Cunningham, Texas left his family and friends on earth to join his family and friends on the other side, December 10, 2014. Johnie was born on October 16, 1939 in Cunningham, Texas. He was the son of Bill and Maebell Suddeth Musgrove.
He attended schools in Paris and Cunningham, and while in Cunningham, he met the love of his life, Nelta. He married Nelta LaRue Watson on May 24, 1956 in Paris, Texas. He and his wife owned and operated Musgrove Country Store in Cunningham for over 50 years. Johnie was a dairy man and merchant; a farmer; a rancher; a trucker; a bail bondsman; and loved to sell used furniture. At one time, he owned and operated two separate stores in Cunningham.
His wife, Nelta, preceded him in death on July 21, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Maebell Suddeth Musgrove; three sisters: Mary Helen Musgrove Phillips; Virginia Musgrove Jessee; and Billee Musgrove Smith.
He is survived by two children: Stacy Musgrove and wife, Linda and Zarinska Morton and husband, Shane; grandchildren: Stoney Musgrove and wife, Meagan; Charity Musgrove and fiancé, Chance Belcher; great-grandchildren: Mayzie Grace and Andrie Joyce Musgrove all of Cunningham;
Johnie was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 13 at 2:00pm at Life Tabernacle Church in Cunningham. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery.
