Mrs. Smith, the daughter of John William "Bill" & Mabell Suddeth Musgrove, was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Arthur City, Texas.
She attended school at Cunningham; Paris High School; Paris Junior College; North Texas Teachers College and East Texas State University.
Billee taught in public schools at Cunningham; East Bernard; Mesquite; Bogata and Paris. She retired in 1991, following a career that spanned thirty-seven years. Billee was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris and various teachers associations.
In 1947, she married Bruce H. Smith, and he preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marihelen Phillips and Virginia Jesse.
Survivors include her son, Blaine Horton Smith of San Antonio, a grandchild, Preslee Smith, two step-grandchildren, Cara Wright and Brett Riefler, one brother, Johnnie Musgrove of Cunningham along with several nieces & nephews and a plethora of friends.
