Mrs. Lindsey Melaine Ball Parker, 24, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, went to be with her heavenly father, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014.

She was born Oct. 19, 1990, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Marcus W. Ball and Lisa Pierce Ball.

Lindsey was very involved at Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member. In high school, she was an ambassador for East Conference, cheerleader, member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. She graduated in 2009 from Harrisburg High School as an honor graduate. During high school she worked as a lifeguard at the city pool and worked at playschool. She was also cheerleading sponsor for senior high cheerleaders. She graduated from Arkansas State University in 2012 with a bachelor of science in early childhood education as a magna cum laude. She went on to teach at Cross County Elementary for two years.

She married Matt Parker on Jan. 7, 2012, and was blessed with a son, Knox, born on Feb. 10, 2014. She was a loving and caring mother, wife, and teacher. She loved spending time with Knox, Matt and her family and friends. She loved being a teacher and being a role model to her students. You never caught Lindsey without a smile on her face, and she would go out of her way to do anything for anybody.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marcus W. Ball.

She is survived by her husband, Matt; her son, Knox; her mother, Lisa Ball; her grand-parents, Howard and Hulene Pierce, all of Harrisburg; and her grandparents, Wayne & Joan Ball of Cherry Valley. She is also survived by two aunts, Lori Pierce Howton (Daniel) and Leslie Pierce Wallace (David), both of Harrisburg; one uncle, Ben Ball of Cherry Valley; her sister-in-law, Maria Parker of Harrisburg; and cousins, Calen, Cody and Cidney Wallace, Kelsey, Kiley and Rylan Howton and Matthew Walton; and a sister at heart, Shayna Cole Tucker.

Funeral services were at the Harrisburg High School Gymnasium. Burial was in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg.
