Marcus Wayne Ball, 28, died May 14, 1993 at the Methodist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Funeral services were conducted May 18 at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral chapel in Wynne with Rev. Captain Lovell and Rev. Ferrel Duffel officiating. Interment was in the Vanndale Cemetery.

Ball was born Aug. 14, 1964 in Wynne, the son of Alvin Wayne and Joan Martin Ball. He was married April 7, 1990 to the former Lisa Pierce, who survives. He was a farmer and a Baptist.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Wayne and Joan Ball of Monterey, Calif.; one daughter, Lindsey Melanie Ball of Harrisburg; one brother, Benjamin W. Ball of Monterey, Calif.; his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Alice Martin of Cherry Valley; and his great-grandmother, Leona Peck of Cherry Valley. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dallas and Marie Ball.
