Graveside services for Lucy Vann Waden, 95, of Halsell were held Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 4 P.M. from the Cokes Chapel Cemetery in Ward with Rev. Albert Creel officiating.
Ms. Waden passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Sumter Nursing Home in York.
She is survived by her son Norman Karon Waden of Halsell; special nephew Gordon Powell of Halsell; nieces Mary Ann Skelton of Halsell and Brenda Vann Brunson of Uniontown; nephews Tom Vann of Uniontown; and Gordon Vann of Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Elijah Bell "E.B" Vann, Jr. and Joe Vann; two sisters Sally Powell and Betty Stringer; parents Elijah Bell Vann, Sr. and Lilly Mae McCrory Vann; and nephews Cecil Slater; James Vann; and Tyson Powell.
