Woodrow Lawlis was born the son of Phillip Willard and Elizabeth A. Lawlis on May 8, 1913. Woodrow married Vivian F. McClung on November 12, 1932 during the depression. They bought a farm about two miles south of Lawlis Flats in Fisher County, where they raised their family.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Ann Johnson of Cedar Hill, Glenda June Purvis of Euless, and Kay Dobbs of Big Spring, Texas.
