Jessica Marie 'Jessie' Davis of Cochranville
Jessica Marie "Jessie" Davis, 13, of Cochranville, went gently home to be with Jesus on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 while sleeping. She was born in West Chester with a congenital syndrome that limited her physically but did not diminish her joy. She attended Beulah Baptist Church. Jessie enjoyed being outside especially riding the gator with her Pop. She loved being girly and getting her nails done. She was her daddy's little girl and her pop's little buddy. Even though Jessie was not able to say many words, she spoke volumes about her love for life to her family who will miss her smile greatly including her parents, Arnold M. and Pamela J. Gall Davis, her three brothers John, husband of Kassi Granville Houston of New Jersey, Christopher, husband of Stacey Demetriou Houston of Maryland, Matthew Davis at home, paternal grandparents Larry M. and Naomi Myer Davis of Cochranville, maternal grandmother Judy Graham, wife of John Shrock of Kentucky and grandfather Ronald, husband of Anna Gall of New Mexico. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Beulah Baptist Church, 3815 Newark Road, Oxford, with Pastor Roger Hunter officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jessie's memory to A.I. duPont, payable to "Nemours" and mailed to Nemours Found for Children's Health, Shands House, 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
