Katherine "Katie" L. Hensley, age 69, of Worthington, passed away at 10:08 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Linton on Dec. 18, 1944, the daughter of Orman & Bonnie (Bruce) Bough. She worked at General Electric in Linton, Crane, and owned and operated the Midway Cafe' in Worthington, worked at the Worthington VFW for many years, and retired from Boston Scientific in Spencer in 2002. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Lyons & the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Worthington.
She was survived by her three children, Larry (Sara) Hensley of Worthington, Sherry Surber of Linton, & Jana Souders of Worthington, a brother, Ona Bough of Florida, five grandchildren, Chrystal, Tasha, Kegan, Chassidy, & Dalton, four great-grandchildren, Adrianna, in which she raised, Braylon, Jayden, & Mackenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her former spouse, Larry Hensley in 1978, two sisters, Betty Mooney and Mary Henderson, and a brother, Cletus Bough.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. A private family burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.
