Along with her husband, Michael Anthony Wilkins,baby daughter, Erin Alyse Wilkins and father-in-law, Hubert Thomas Wilkins, Jr., their small plane went down in a storm. They were on their way back to Dallas from attending the funeral of her mother-in-law, Patty Jean Smith Wilkins who had died on May 17, 1977.
Cindy was the daughter of Dr. Thomas Lane and Dorothy Dykes.
