---Brett Thomas Jackson, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014, at his home.
---Brett was born on November 28, 1971, in Kirksville, Missouri. Brett married the love of his life, Audra, on December 27, 1992.
---Brett is survived by his wife, two children of the home, his parents, two brothers, a brother-in-law and his wife, a sister-in-law and her husband, and a brother-in-law, 8 nieces and nephews, and a special friend of the family.
---Brett was a graduate of La Plata High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Northeast Missouri State University. Brett worked for the State of Missouri as a Meat Inspector for 11 years before going to work for Cargill in 2011. Brett enjoyed working on the family farm and raised sheep, horses, goats, and cattle. At the time of his death, Brett was a member of Cornerstone Church in Kirksville.
---When not at work, Brett could be found hunting, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles, working on old trucks and doing anything that involved being outdoors or in his shop. Most of all, Bret loved spending time with his family at home. Brett was known for his kindness and everyone that knew him loved and respected him.
---Visitation was held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2014 at the La Plata Community Presbyterian Church with burial following at Gibbs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Brett Jackson Memorial for the purpose of assisting families who have patients in the hospital.
