Charles D. White went to be with his Lord Monday April 3, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born October 24, 1921 in What Cheer, Iowa area to Charles and Fern White. He met his wife of 63 years, Edith Calvert, in the Keswick Iowa area and was married Dec. 2, 1942.

Charles graduated from Gibson, Iowa High School in 1939. He spent several years in the Army Air Corp and returned to Iowa after being discharged in 1946. Later he went to work at OPUBCO where he stayed until he retired in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Edith and one son, Gary, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles White; his mother, Fern White; his brother, Vaughn White and wife, Helen; and all of his wife's immediate family.

Private services were held in Oklahoma City and graveside services in Iowa at Sixteen Cemetery.
