Charles Easterwood
Charles Milburn (sic) Easterwood, Route 1, died Sunday morning at the Feagans Rest Home in Warrensburg. He had been a patient for the past 23 months at the home.
He was born in Nebraska the son of William and Ema Favinger Easterwood.
He was married to the former Lucy Tygert (sic) who preceded him in death on February 22, 1943.
He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Modern Woodmen Lodge of Chilhowee. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Horace (Octa) Bird, Highway 50 West; Mrs. Frances (Marie) Moore, Warrensburg; three sons: harry Easterwood, Los Angeles, Calif.; Finis Easterwood, Route 1; Charles "Boob" Easterwood, Route 1; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Bessie) Thompson, Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Cook Funeral Home, Chilhowee. Burial will be in the Pisgah Cemetery north of Chilhowee.
The Rev. C. J. Ford, 305 South Mitchell street, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Russell Grainger, William Richardson, Dennis baker, Edgar Scott, Ennis Sutton and Glen Howard.
The family will receive friends this evening at the Cook Funeral Home from 7-9 o’clock.
