Avis Finley Moran, 78, died Saturday in a local hospital. Born in Toombs County, she lived in Baldwin County for most of her life and was a Baptist. She was a retired employee of Central State Hospital and was a licensed practical nurse. Survivors; husband, William Howard Moran of Milledgeville; sister, Polly Finley of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Services; 1 p.m. Monday in Williams Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville. Burial; Baldwin Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville. Rev. Jesse Welborn will officiate. Visitation; 5 until 6 tonight in the funeral home.
