Funeral services for Edythe Wolfs, 85, were held Thuesday July 6, 1993 at 2 p.m. in Stavanger Lutheran Church, Ossian, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Wayne Ellingson officiated at the service with Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She died Thursday, July 1, 1993.

Edythe Alice (Jenkins) Wolfs, daughter of Arthur and Cecelia Alice (White) Jenkins, was born January 15, 1908 at West Union. She was baptized April 4, 1920 and confirmed May 5, 1920. She received her education in the West Union School.

On February 2, 1937 she was united in marriage to Joseph Oscar Wolfs at the Stavanger Parsonage and to this union were born five children. Edith was a homemaker and cooked in a restaurant. She had been a member of the Methodist Church, St Olaf Lutheran Church and Stavanger Lutheran church and E.L.C.A

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1986; two sisters, and two granddaughter, Angie Wolfs and Sandi Bass. Edythe is survived by three sons, Arthur, Dennis and David, West Union; two daughter, Vivian (Mrs Arthur Ihde), West Union and Beverly (Mrs Lavern) Bass, Wallingford; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
