A resident of Denham Springs passed away early Friday, December 05, 2014 at The Carpenter House. He was 65 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from Exxon Refinery with over 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Connie Watson Porter, two sons, Christopher G. Porter and fiancé Erica James and Sean Darren Porter and wife Amanda Ellis Porter, three grandchildren, Landon Spencer Porter, Tyler Sean Porter and Jake Jeffrey Porter, brother, Darrell K. Porter and wife, Connie M. Porter, sister, Carolyn Ann Nowlin and numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Toby. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Gene Porter and mother, Hilda Hill Porter. Visitaiton will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 5:00pm until9:00pm. Visitation will resume Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 10:00am. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be, Jeremy Mouch, Raymond Mullins, Brad Watson, Daniel Watson, Travis Murry and Easton Cifero. Honorary pallbearers will be, Tommy Medine, David W. Watson and C. Raymond Watson. He loved to hunt, fish and play his guitar
