Mifflin - Last Monday morning was one of sadness to Mifflin people and vicinity. The word came that Dr. I.F. Markel and wife were both dead, having expired but fifteen minutes apart. The doctor was sick but one week and his wife but three days with typhoid fever. They were both members of the Lutheran church. The funeral was held at their home on Wednesday at 10 o'clock a.m. Interment in the Ashland Cemetery.
