"Mrs. Caroline King Bertolette, age 75 years, wife of C. E. Bertolette, passed away Sunday morning. Deceased had been confined to her home the past year with diabetes. Born in England, May 3, 1851, she came to America with her parents in 1856 and had been a resident of Washingtonville since 1865. She was married to C. E. Bertolette May 17, 1870. To this union 10 children were born. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, devoted always to her home and family interests and will be greatly missed in the neighborhood. Surviving are her husband and eight children. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Rev. R. N. Ball officiating., and interment in Oakland cemetery, Washingtonville."
