Mrs. Ella M. Sprout of rural Gypsum died at Asbury hospital, Salina, Kansas. She was born May 31, 1901, at Liberty, Kentucky and moved to Salina in 1928 and to the Gypsum area in 1947.
Survivors included her husband, John W.; three daughters, Mrs. Glenda Stein, Viola Sprout and Mrs. Geneva Roark; two sons, Stanley and Earl Sprout; two brothers. Claude and Chester Williams; a sister, Mrs. Matria Schumacher; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
