Bonnie was born in Denison, Texas. His parents were Joe and Lena Ciaccio and he was one of nine children. He was baptized at St. Patrick Church and attended the old St. Xaviers Academy that once stood across from the church. He attended South Eastern State in Oklahoma. Bonnie was an avid lover of sports, particularly the Dallas Cowboys and Longhorn football. Sundays were a day for attending church and watching football. He played football during high school and in the Navy and softball on a recreational team. He also coached Little League football and girls softball for many years. He appreciated all the simple things in life such as flowers, birds and nature.

He spent four years in the Navy, stationed at different locations and the last two years aboard an air craft carrier during the Korean conflict. He had planned on making a career in the Navy, but after four years of service, "I decided that I'd seen all there was to see," so he left the Navy and headed back to little old Denison, back on the farm with his mom and dad.

Bonnie had just begun to settle down good that summer when this family from New York came down to visit the next door neighbor. "Wow!! They had a daughter named Janet. I just thought I'd seen everything! The Lord had to have sent her down from heaven".

After a few trips back and forth between Texas and New York, Bonnie and his mother and other family members drove to New York for the wedding.

"A short time later, the Lord started blessing me again with three beautiful children. First, a daughter, LeAnn Turner, who is now married to Brian and they have a daughter, Shelby. Then there was Cynthia Blount. She is married to Glen and they have a son, Colton and a daughter, Bailey. My son, Joey, has a wife, Sheryl and three sons, Andrew, Jonathon and Christopher.

Bonnie was employed for 30 years at Johns Manville and retired as production superintendent. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a Fourth Degree member in the Knights of Columbus. He held the position of Grand Knight and past Faithful Navigator in the 4th degree. In February of 2014, Bonnie was awarded a prestigious Bishops Service Award for his outstanding volunteer service to the parish and community.

Bonnie was preceded in death by his mom and dad, brothers, George, Phil, John and Nick, and sisters Carmen Hood and Jo Hutchman.

He is survived by: his wife Janet; three "beautiful children and their beautiful families"; a sister, Georgia Schmidt; a brother, Salvador, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was greatly loved by his family and touched many lives. He leaves behind a legacy of wit and humor. He will be missed in this life but we know that he has found eternal peace and we will meet again.
