Interred on Dec 10, 2014 with full military honors

He proudly served his country during WWII, as a Radio Operator in the South Pacific Arena. After serving his country, he worked for the CAA, FAA, and US Government. His last work assignment was Barksdale Air Force Base. He retired in 1980. Upon his retirement, he was presented the Department of the Air Force Award for Meritorious Civilian Service.
Even though Clyde dedicated his life to his country and family, he was also dedicated to his church and the service of others. For over 50 years, he has been an active member and Deacon of First Baptist Bossier. He served with the Volunteer Christian Builders for many years. Clyde was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the El Karubah Shrine.

Preceded in death by his parents Jesse D. Hood and Ruby M. Hendrix Hood, his spouse Juanita, infant daughter Judy Ann and son John Dewey Hood. Brother Howard Hood and sister Marjorie Hood Shelton

Survived by son David Hood, daughters, Barbara Campbell and Kathleen Broderick and sister Mary Hood Moretina
