Ruby Johnson Johnston, 86, died Sunday, Febuary 20, 2000, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Knowles Chapel Methodist Church in Sparta, with burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, George P. Johnston of Sparta; a son, Louis Melvin Johnson; three daughters, Gloria Batchelor of Sparta, and Grace Reynolds and Mary Johnson, both of Milledgeville; four sisters, Bessie Johnson of Milledgeville, Janie Stephens of Deepstep, Lena West of Cochran and Annie Mae Roberts, all of Sparta; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Moores Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
