Jimmy Dale May, a resident of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, departed this life, Saturday, November 29, 2014, at the age of 65.

He was born December 25, 1948, in Hickory Plains, Arkansas, the son of Albert King “A.K.” and Gladys Marie Knight May.

He married Miss Mary Sue Guthrie on December 7, 1964.

Jimmy was a member of the Wynne Church of Christ, a workaholic who loved casinos and dancing. His children considered themselves blessed to have had him as a father. He enjoyed the simple things in life and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Loyd, Floyd, James, Jerry Tom, Danny and A. K., Jr, three sisters: Shirley May, Polly Thompson, Ernestine Self.

Jimmy is survived by: his wife of Fifty years, Mary May of the home, one son: Roger May and wife Donna of Parkin, Arkansas, two daughters: Theresa May of Bay Village, Arkansas, Deborah Talburt and Wayne Heather of Bay Village, two brothers: Larry May of Batesville, Arkansas, Robert May of Moro, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, eight great grand-children with one on the way.

Burial was in Moncrief Cemetery, Vanndale, Arkansas, under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
