Julie Wagner-Rucker passed away suddenly but peacefully on July 19, 2014. She was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School and attended Ohio Dominican University. Julie worked at the Ohio Court of Claims for over 20 years, where she served as the Assignment Commissioner until her retirement in 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Ruth Wagner, and sister, Patricia Wagner. She is survived by the two men in life whom she adored: her loving and devoted husband and caretaker, Carl Rucker; and her loving son Vincent (Rachel) Spiert, who was her life's joy and blessing; her granddaughter, Evelyn Spiert; twin sister, Joani (Tom) Moore; brothers, Timothy and Thomas (Teresa) Wagner; and sister, Kathleen Balbaugh; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Shirley Rucker; sister and brothers-in-law, Terri (Fred) Organ and Ron Rucker; as well as her aunt, Dolores Wagner, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and remembered for her beautiful smile, generous spirit and compassion for those in need, and her strength and tenacity throughout a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS.) Charitable donations can be made in Julie's honor at villageconnectionscolumbus.org. Friends may call Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 684 South Third Street. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
