Steve G Allen, 77, a resident of Westlake passed away on November 24, 2014 in a local hospital. He was born in Kilbourne, La on November 26, 1936 to Andrew Jackson Allen and Pearl Perritt Allen.

Steve will be remembered as a loving person who had a strong faith and love for his Lord and Savior. He had a strong work ethic and loved gardening. Steve was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from there and South Central Bell.

Steve is predeceased by his parents, one son Jeffery Allen and several brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 52 years, Roberta Shirley Allen of Westlake, La, daughters; Anna McKeigan and husband Joe Picard of Paulline, Iowa and Stephanie Darbonne and husband Dwayne of Westlake, La., his son Joshua Scott Allen and wife Jessica of DeQuincy, La, five grandchildren, two brothers Aubrey Allen, and Huey Allen, and sister, Annie Dawson.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home. Rev. Luke Leichty will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
