Reverend Caswell “Judd” Barnes of the Vasper community, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
Judd was the pastor of Big Creek Baptist Church for 47 years and even preached a message on his 90th birthday. Judd loved serving the Lord and touched the lives of hundreds of people. Judd enjoyed fishing, camping and riding in the mountains with Jason and his friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Trula and infant son Little Judd.
He is survived by his sons Danny & wife Brenda and Reverend Jason and wife Agnes, anxiously awaited grandson “Blue Eyes” baby Brent as well as a host of friends and family that love and will miss him.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Martin Wilson chapel with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Carl Martin and Rev. Bill Braden officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Vasper Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette is in charge of these arrangements.
