Excerpt; ". . . Jones Taliaferro, of White Oaks, died at his home at 5, P.M. on Wednesday, May 5th from Bright's disease. Mr. Taliaferro has up until recently, been in the mercantile business in White Oaks and was a man much liked and well spoken of by all who knew him. . . . The funeral will be held in White Oaks this afternoon at 3 P. M., Rev. Mr. Tricky of this place having charge.. . . "
Jones' brother, Micajah was in charge of White Oaks newspaper, 'Golden Era'. He later became part owner. He eventually moved back to Illinois.
