Dora Mayzelle Harrison, 85, of Jackson, MS went to be with The Lord on Monday, November 24, 2014.

Mayzelle was born in Ackerman, MS on June 30, 1929 to Anna and Samuel Dunn. The family moved to Durant, OK, where she graduated from Durant High School in 1947.

Mayzelle married Clyde Harrison in 1949 and together they had two children. She worked at Deposit Guaranty Bank until her retirement. She was a proud member of PEO and Quota Clubs of Jackson. She was a longtime member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, where she belonged to a wonderful Sunday School class and WMU group.

Mayzelle is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Clyde Harrison; daughter, Linda Harrison Cook; son, Clyde Allen Harrison, III; two granddaughters, Anna Cook Wansley (Steen) and Jennifer Cook Pigman (Eric); and three great grandchildren, Harrison David Pigman, Colton Drew Pigman, and Rivers Kate Wansley.

Mayzelle was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Anna Dunn; sister, Christine Dunn Howie; and son-in-law, David William Cook.

There will be a graveside service for family and close friends, Friday, November 28, at 11:00 AM at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to PAX Hospice or Local Humane Society.
