From the obituary published in the Palladium-Item Richmond, Indiana December 26, 1974. Mrs. Susie Danta Wasson, 85, died Thursday morning at Heritage House following a lengthy illness. A native of Henry County, she had lived in Richmond for the past five years, coming here from Cardington, Morrow County, Ohio. She was born on April 20, 1889, near Blountsville to William A. and Margaret Ellen Felton Kilmer, the sixth of eight children, and the third daughter. She married Frank Helm Wasson on Dec 24, 1909, in Delaware County, Indiana. Their firstborn, John William was born Nov 13, 1911, in Medford, Delaware County. Reba Louise, known in her adulthood as "Susie" after her mother was born in Blountsville, Henry County, Indiana. Carl Paul was born in Blountsville, also in1919. Margaret Ellen came along in Olivet, Vermillion County, Illinois while her father was a ministerial student at Olivet Nazarene College, in 1921. After his graduation, he was assigned to be a "church planter" in Arizona, the first of many assignments. This position required that as soon as the church was "up and running", they would move on to the next place. Robert Ralph "Bob, the youngest was born in Maricopa County, Phoenix, Arizona. She was a member of the Cardington, Ohio Church of the Nazarene, and the widow, her spouse having died there in 1969. Survivors include three sons, John of Sidney, Ohio, Carl of Richmond, and Robert of Astoria, Oregon; two daughters, Mrs. Reba Louise Mansfield of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Margaret Howard of Cardington, Ohio; 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. R. D. Sutherland officiating. Graveside services will be at the Glendale Cemetery in Cardington, Ohio. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Doan and Mills Funeral Home. Susie lived a life of struggle and service alongside her husband and partner in Christian ministry. She was an intelligent and sympathetic listener. Her influence spreads far and wide in many unknown ways, known in full only to Our Heavenly Father. She always kept hymn books and a copy of the sheet music for "The House I Live In/ That's America to Me" recorded by Frank Sinatra on her piano in the living room. She was a "two star mother" in the Second World War, displaying her silken banner proudly on her door. Ruth Brown Egan

Suggested edit: Coincidentally, there is a cemetery called Glendale in Snyder County, Pennsylvania in the county seat of Middleburg. That is the place that contains the Township where Shade Mountain is located where her Felton ancestors left from to come to Hagerstown, Indiana, and then to Henry and Delaware Counties where Susie was born.
