William Abbas, son of George and Talka Koop Abbas, was born May 21, 1905 at Kamrar. As a young man he moved with his family to Kanawha. He was united in marriage March 27, 1935 at Webster City to Dorothy Brown, and the couple resided in Webster City where Mr. Abbas was employed for 20 years with the Arrow-Acme Corp., retiring in July, 1971. Since December, 1973, he had resided at the Southfield Care Center.
He is survived by his wife; three sons and four daughters, William Abbas, Jr., South Plainfield, N.J., Louie Abbas of Woolstock, Larry Abbas of Duncombe, Bonnie Abbas, Santiago, Chile, Mrs. Steve (Evelyn) Schreier of Fort Dodge, Sharon Abbas, Webster City, and Mrs. Bryan (Marilyn) Segerstrom of Waterloo; six grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Edward Abbas of Colorado Springs, Colo., George Abbas of Camp Douglas, Wis., John Abbas of Webster City, and Esther Blair of Webster City, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, who died in infancy; by his parents; one brother and three sisters. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist, church in Webster City.
