Ruby Ruth White, age 88, of Deweyville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.
She was born in Welsh, Louisiana on October 16, 1926 to parents Cora (Benoit) and Leghton Oliver.
She grew up in Lake Arthur, Louisiana and had lived in the Orange, Texas and Deweyville area since 1954. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. Ruby enjoyed working in her yard; pull weeds, raking leaves, or working in her garden. Ruby was a loving person who loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley White, son, Garvin White, sisters, Sue, Thelma, brothers, Leroy, Charles and Ralph.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Ladona Bussell of Deweyville, son, Connie White and wife, Wanda of Deweyville, sister, Olivia Dufrene of Des Allemands, Louisiana, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2pm at Dorman Funeral Home, with a visitation prior to the service from 11am until service time.
Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas.
