Doris Neal Jennings, 90, of Ebenezer Rd., Gladys passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Richmond. She was the wife of the late Oswald Elwood Jennings.
Mrs. Jennings was born in Charlotte County, February 6, 1924 a daughter of the late Bryan Neal and Elsie Douglas Neal. She was a member Roanoke Presbyterian Church and attended Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Morris (James) of Richmond, Dale Jennings (Richard) of Gladys; four grandchildren, James Morris III of Fairfax, Carrie Morris of Richmond, Richard Jennings II of Gladys, Kelly Jones (D.R.) of Lynchburg; four great-grandchildren, Kayla Morris, Hunter Mayo, Derek Jones, Bransen Jones; one brother, Harold Neal (Janet) of Bedford; two sisters, Kay Peterson of Richmond, Emily Thomas of Chase City. She was preceded in death by a son, E. Eugene Jennings; and a daughter, Neala Jane Jennings.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 28, 2014 in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Johnny Roberts.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 pm Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at her residence on Ebenezer Rd. other times.
