Ms. Lois Aline Crews Kirkland, age 77, of Macclenny, FL passed away on November 23, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with family by her side. She was born in Taylor, Florida on July 5, 1937 to the late David Twigg Crews and Gertrude Ruis Crews.
Aline has been a lifelong resident of Baker County where she was a graduate of Taylor High School in 1955 and a longtime member of the Christian Fellowship Temple Church. Shortly after high school, Aline married the love of her life, Fred Preston Kirkland and they lovingly raised their four children together. Aline was a Homemaker who loved baking, gardening, decorating her home, crossword puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, L.D. Crews; and loving husband of 58 years, Fred Preston Kirkland. Family members include her loving children, Connie (Danny) Bennett of Glen St. Mary, FL, Beverly Blume, Debbie (Jeff) Webb, and Charles Kirkland all of Macclenny, FL; her brothers, Jack (Shirley) Crews and Clyde Crews both of Glen St. Mary, FL; her sisters, Betty Kirkland of Lake City, FL, Minnie Ruth Kirkland, and Lettie Whitener both of Macclenny, FL; her grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Bennett, Chance (Christie) Blume, Cami (Doug) Boyd, Danielle (Scott) Lyons, Tyler Thomas; and her great grandchildren, Bentley Bennett, Lane Johns, Rylan Johns, Kensi Boyd, Holden Blume, Scarlett Blume, Avery Lyons, and Aubrey Lyons.
Celebration services for Ms. Kirkland will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastors David and Timmy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny, FL. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at her church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES.
