Irene was born Jan. 7, 1920 in Lynn County. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1938 and attended Draughn's Business College. Irene married Gus William Hinz, who preceded her in death. She later married Leonard N. Foster, who, also preceded her in death. Irene was also preceded in death by her parents, Will and Erna Bruckner and brother, Oliver William Bruckner.
Irene had a 20 year career with Southwestern Public Service. She was a member of the quilting club at Grace Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at Covenant Medical Center Lakeside. She attended Lubbockís First Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 in Englunds Chapel with Rev. John Ballard officiating. Interment will be in Slatonís Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
