DRESDEN - Winnie Cornell Powell, 85, retired school cafeteria worker, died of heart failure Sunday at Weakley County Nursing Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home with burial in Sunset Cemetery. She was a member of Dresden First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Powell, the widow of Howard Wyatt 'Jack' Powell, leaves two sons, William C. 'Billy' Powell of Dresden and James H. 'Jimmy' Powell of Springville; a brother, James Richard Cornell of Dresden, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
