REX W. HOUSE, a resident of Berryville, Ark., was born July 17, 1926, in Landis, Ark., a son of Pinkney Richard and Arizona Elizabeth (Mitchell) House. He died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in Berryville, at the age of 78.

Mr. House was a mechanic for La Bolsa Tile. He was a member of the Western Avenue Baptist Church in Brawley, Calif. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during World War II. He was an active member of DAV and VFW.

On April 8, 1950, he was united in marriage with Gladys (Edmondson) House, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Pamela Escalante of Branson, Mo., and Nickina House of Springdale; two grandchildren, Rocky Escalante and Emily Walker; two sisters, Lillian Bray of Tennessee and Mary Schrand of Arizona; many other relatives; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pinkney and Arizona House; one son, Harold Keith House; four brothers; and four sisters.

Memorial graveside services were Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at the Grandview Cemetery, with Rev. Dean Smith officiating under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com
