Adola Marie Gladney, beloved wife and mother, joined her Savior in heaven on April 8, 2006. Adola was bom to Laban and Jennie Johnson on June 5, 1918 in Douglas, Wyoming. On her own from the age of 12, Adola worked her way through high school as a domestic, and trained as a secretary. Twice in her career, she rose to the position of executive secretary, the last time at Folding Carrier Corporation in OKC. She married the love of her life, Jack S. Gladney, on November 30,1941, and they shared over 51 years together until Jack's death in 1993. Known for her gentle demeanor, her sweet smile, and a twinkle in her eye, Adola loved her Lord, her family, and her friends. Adola is survived by a son, Rev. Jim Gladney and his wife Jana, a son, Rick Gladney, and three grandchildren Josh, Megan, and Heather. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Putnam City Christian Church, 4215 N. Grove, OKC. In lieu of flowers, Adola requested donations to the audio/visual fund at Putnam City Christian Church. CREMATION SOCIETY 1145 W. Britton Rd. 843-3345
