Mr. Batchelor was a native of Hancock County and made his home in Baldwin County for most of his life. He was the son of the late Henry David Batchelor and the late Mattie Johnson Perdue. He was preceded in death by his children, Frances Batchelor, Tony Batchelor and Baby Boy Batchelor. He was a retired employee of Central State Hospital after 34 years of service and was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Lesa Harvey and Tondra Steadham, both of Milledgeville, and Teresa Wood of Lizella; six sons, Andy Batchelor Jr., Travis Batchelor, Matthew Batchelor, and Timothy Batchelor, all of Milledgeville, and Henry Batchelor and Jeffery Batchelor, both of Jackson; two sisters, Eileen Stephens of Hardwick and Mabel Flury of Sparta; two brothers, Carlton Batchelor, and Louie Batchelor, both of Milledgeville; 25 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
